Thanks for this. Date on the show is incorrect. It's actually May 10, 1968. They played two shows that night, opening for... yes it's true... the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Now if somebody could just find their sets too!
Actually, I have a buddy who was at this show as a kid (his Dad was a big wheel in the music biz). The date is correct, Sly was opening for Eric Burdon & the New Animals on this night. The Hendrix shows earlier in the year were not professionally recorded. This one was.
